Primer Mundo’s cigar line is the realization of my dream, a true cigar enthusiast whose inspiration for Primer Mundo came during a week long trip touring the tobacco fields and factories of Nestor Plasencia in Nicaragua and Honduras with my friend and mentor, David Blanco of Los Blancos Cigar Company. The Blancos are cousins of the Plasencia family and spending time with these two great families gave me a humbling insight into the tobacco business and a sincere respect for the tradition, heritage and pride that the great tobacco families hold. Having started a venue based retail business and the Atlanta Cigar Society, I possess a true appreciation for fine cigars and a humbling respect for the care and craftsmanship that goes into making them. With the manufacturing expertise of the world-renowned Plasencia Family, Primer Mundo cigars has made a commitment to offering some of the finest premium cigars available. The finest and richest Habano Jalapa leaf are used for the binder, along with the best tobacco from the Jamastran and Jalapa valleys for the filler, providing El primer Mundo with its unique complexity and flavor. The richest and most robust Habano Crillo Maduro leaf, as well as the creamiest Connecticut Shade grown leaf make the wrappers, which offer rewardingly distinctive character.
